" Many go their entire lives without hearing the name of Jesus once. "
In regions like Asia, home to some of the largest concentrations of unreached groups, this means vast populations live their entire lives without hearing the Gospel, often shaped instead by deeply rooted cultural and religious traditions.
These groups typically face social, political, or religious barriers that prevent outside influence, making indigenous believers and culturally relevant ministry strategies essential for sharing the message of Jesus in ways that can be embraced within their unique contexts.
Over the past 10 years, more than 20,000 charities have lost their registration to receive foreign funds throughout Asia. Even well-known and respected organizations have fallen victim to this organized persecution.
With amazing favor and protection from the Lord, He has kept our ministry safe.
Yet the reality is clear: the environment for Christian ministry in some parts of the world is becoming increasingly difficult, and the time to act is now. While the door remains open, we must accelerate our efforts to train pastors and plant churches. We must equip leaders who can continue the work even when restrictions intensify. We are living in a moment of unprecedented opportunity. For the first time in history:
Together we must send the workers.

A missionary entered a remote mountain village where the name of Jesus had never been spoken. After praying for a sick child who was healed, the entire family came to Christ. Their home is now the first church in the village.

One young man who carved idols for local temples heard the Gospel from a local missionary and gave his life to Christ. Now, he disciple-makes in the same villages he once supplied with idols.

Before a missionary arrived, the chief had a dream of “a man in white” telling him someone was coming with a life-changing message. When the missionary arrived, the chief said, “I’ve been waiting for you.”

In a mountain village once known for witchcraft, Pastor Anand began preaching under a tree. Today, there is a thriving church of 85 believers, a school for children, and the village has its first well in a generation. “They thought I was crazy. Now they call me ‘Pastor Father,’” Anand laughs. “But the real story is how God changed their hearts.”

In a conservative Muslim village, Leela’s mother grew gravely ill. After exhausting every other option, her family turned in desperation to a local Christian pastor trained by Unreached. He came, prayed, and to everyone’s amazement her mother was healed. That moment opened their hearts. Today, Leela has accepted Jesus into her life, and her entire family is learning more about the Christian faith.
